In 1939, Andy Farmer started a wrecker service on Depot Avenue in Knoxville, Tennessee. During 1940, Mr. Farmer moved his business over to the corner of Chestnut Street and Wilson Avenue, into a Pure Oil station. This new location had a garage, which is how “Chestnut Street Garage” was born.

We demand professionalism in our operators.  They are always well groomed and required to be in uniforms.  Not only does this reflect in our professional appearance, it also addresses our concern for safety.  Operators are required to wear High-Visibility ANSI uniforms.   All are required to have at least 3 years’ experience and have clean driving records.  In addition to having our drivers submit to drug screening, as we enforce a drug free workplace, they have to pass criminal background checks as required by City of Knoxville, and the Tennessee Highway Patrol. 

Our Equipment are all late model, highly maintained vehicles, that are serviced and undergo required daily inspections.  They range from Class A to Class D, which includes light duty, medium duty, heavy duty, rotator, flatbed-rollback, tractor w/transport trailer, gooseneck trailer.  We have the latest most up to date vehicles in the Knoxville area and can handle any and all situations.
